Every year, the Washington State Grape Society offers a scholarship to a deserving person who plans to engage in a field of study relating to the growing of grapes. This scholarship is targeted towards graduate students, but undergraduate students may also apply. The deadline for receiving applications is April 15th. We would like to encourage those students attending today to apply for this scholarship in Spring of 2005 and may do so
by downloading the application form from our website or contacting a professor in the viticulture/enology program.

The Grape Society also offers concord pie to purchase. These proceeds also go towards the memorial scholarship.

We are pleased to announce Washington State Grape Society’s 2004 Memorial
Scholarship of $500 to Catherine Hinken. Catherine is currently a junior at WSU;

President of the WSU Viticulture & Enology Club
and a member of the Horticulture Club. This past summer, Catherine was a viticulture intern for
Canandaigua Wine Company. Congratulations Catherine!
