Scholarships for 2008

The Washington State Grape Society is proud to offer a scholarship to a deserving young person who plans to attend Washington State University and engage in a field of study relating to the growing of grapes. This scholarship is targeted towards graduate students, but undergraduate students may also apply.

To apply for a scholarship you will need to complete all forms. Click on to SCHOLARSHIP. The completed Personal Information Sheet will need to be returned to the Washington State Grape Society, along with a Letter of Application, as outlined in the guidelines. Three letters of recommendation or completed Confidential Reports on Applicant forms must also be submitted.

The deadline for receiving applications is April 15, 2007. A decision will be made by the scholarship trustees and the award will be announced at our Annual Meeting held in November.

WSGS Memorial Scholarship Awards for 2007
The Board of Directors announced Nicole Umiker as the memorial scholarship award winner. Ms. Umiker will receive a check in the amount of $500 to be used for her continuing education.

Every year, the Washington State Grape Society offers a scholarship to a deserving person who plans to engage in a field of study relating to the growing of grapes. This scholarship is targeted towards graduate students, but undergraduate students may also apply. The deadline for receiving applications is April 15th. Apply by downloading the application form from our website or contacting your professor in the viticulture/enology program.

WSGS Memorial Scholarship Award

What is the Washington State Grape Society Memorial Scholarship?
This is a Living memorial honoring individuals who have contributed to the
the development and success of this state's grape industry. Donations are
solicited to aid in the training of persons who are interested in improving our
knowledge of grape growing and to help provide future leaders for the industry.
The scholarship is made possible by gifts given to the Washington State
Grape Society.
