The Federal Register currently includes three notices of Request for Applications (RFA) for Federal Crop Insurance Corporation , the following two are applicable to the Spokane Region:
The first RFA: Commodity Partnerships for Risk Management Education Program includes up to $4 million for partnership agreements for risk management training and informational activities. The purpose of this partnership agreement program is to deliver training and information in the management of production, marketing and financial risk to U.S. agricultural producers. Priority will be given to educating producers of crops not insurable with Federal crop insurance, specialty crops, and underserved commodities, including livestock and forage. A maximum of forty partnership agreements will be funded. The attached announcement Request for Applications (RFA): Commodity Partnerships for Risk Management Education Program lists the information needed to submit an application for these funds. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit completed and signed application packages using overnight mail or delivery service using the address listed within the attached RFA. The second RFA: Commodity Partnerships for Small Agricultural Risk Management Education Sessions (Commodity Partnerships for Small Session Program) includes approximately $500,000 for partnerships to deliver training and information in the management of production, marketing and financial risk to U.S. agricultural producers. Priority will be given to educating producers of crops not insurable with Federal crop insurance, specialty crops, and underserved commodities, including livestock and forage. A maximum of 50 partnership agreements will be funded, with no more than five in each of the ten designated RMA regions. The attached announcement Commodity Partnerships for Small Agricultural Risk Management Education Sessions (Commodity Partnerships for Small Session Program) lists the information needed to submit an application for these funds. Applicants are encouraged to submit completed and signed application packages using the address listed within the attached RFA.
